COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Programs include a complete range of investment solutions including equity and debt, direct and indirect, and listed and unlisted strategies delivered through separate accounts and commingled funds.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director, Investor Reporting will be responsible for leading relationships with third party service providers to set reporting expectations, create efficiencies and ensure accurate and timely reporting. In coordination with the Global Investors Portfolio Manager and Deputy Portfolio Manager, prepares quarterly investor letters, as well as budgeting and monitoring all fund level expense ratios and reporting. Tracks and ensures limited partner agreement notification are sent with commitments periods expire, LP terms expire, etc. Collaborates with the CBRE Global Investors legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate third party legal expense allocations across funds


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead relationships with third party service providers, set reporting expectations and create efficiencies. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting

Detailed review of quarterly/annual fund financial statements prepared by third party administrator. Coordinate review with investment team and senior management

Take lead in quarterly investor letter preparation, coordinate with PM and Deputy PM

Budgeting and monitoring of all fund level total expense ratios and reporting

Review ad hoc investor requests. Ensure PM / Deputy PM involvement when appropriate

Prepare affiliate fee benchmarking deliverables as part of annual/semi-annual Advisory Board meetings

Assist with review of advisory fee, net asset value, share price calculations

Coordinate with outside tax consultants and third party administrator on fund and investor tax issues

Track and ensure limited partner agreement notifications sent when commitment periods expire, LP terms expire, etc.

Assist corporate accounting with monthly/quarterly KPI reporting

Review and coordinate payment of third party servicer invoices including correct allocations among fund and properties for IA&R services

Work with legal and compliance to ensure accurate third party legal expense allocations across funds

Calculate and coordinate reimbursements from the funds to CBREGI: Quarterly E&O insurance, fund organizational costs, advisory board meetings, events

Coordinate with compliance/legal on dissolution of limited partnerships / transfer of assets to liquidating trusts. Prepare applicable memos for legal team.

Other duties may be assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


May act as supervisor and manager for in-country financial analyst teams. Supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required. A minimum of ten years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Prior experience in real estate accounting and analytics. Requires prior supervisory experience and experience with real estate accounting or reporting software systems.


CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES


Certified Accountant qualifications in relevant jurisdictions or MBA/Master of Accounting preferred.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to effectively write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to effectively respond, verbally and written, to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective presentations on general topics. Ability to inspire and motivate employees and client groups to take desired action. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service, whether co-workers or clients.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE


Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Able to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts complex financial/business analysis including the preparation of complex reports. Advanced technical financial skills and comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards. At least basic understanding of the tax rules in relevant jurisdiction.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to identify and analyze problems with limited information, then recommend more than one resolution alternative. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Advance economics, math and analytical skills and ability to apply them and in the pursuit of diverse situations. Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology. Knowledge of Company financial systems as well as internal and external information sources. Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products with focus on Excel). Ability to work in multiple accounting and/or reporting software applications.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work and/or project deadlines. Setting and supervising deadlines for junior colleagues. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to clients and department.
