Crossroads Companies is a real estate development, investment and services firm, with a regional concentration in Northern New Jersey. Since inception, Crossroads has developed and/or repositioned approximately one million square feet of commercial real estate, and currently has a development pipeline of approximately 200,000 square feet of commercial, and 700 residential units. Crossroads is completely vertically integrated and handles all aspects of the development process in-house; including but not limited to site selection, market analysis, financial underwriting, entitlement procurement, construction, property management, leasing, consulting and investment sales. Crossroads also offers these services to non-affiliated companies.

Opportunity

Crossroads is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial real estate Associate who can help the company expand, and ultimately grow into a partnership role. Initially, you would focus on investment sales and real estate acquisitions, with the goal of growing short-term revenue through sales, while concurrently building the company’s investment and development pipeline. You would be responsible for your own business line, and would work strategically with Crossroads’ executives to asses new opportunities and determine the appropriate course of action.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

• Source off-market commercial and multifamily properties for sale, acquisition and/or redevelopment
• Canvass towns, speak with property owners, local business owners, municipal officials and local real estate brokers
• Analyze property economics and zoning to determine valuation, as well as highest and best use
• Present findings and recommendations to Crossroads’ executives
• Lead the entire marketing and sale process for investment sale properties
• Lead the acquisition process for reposition pursuits
• Work directly with Crossroads’ executives on the development process for redevelopment pursuits

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience (preferably more) with commercial and/or multifamily real estate sales, acquisitions, development and/or finance
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
• Experience with MS Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Management (or similar degree/experience)
