Job Description

Square Mile is seeking to hire an Associate to join its equity investment team. The investment team evaluates and underwrites prospective investments for all of Square Mile s equity investment vehicles including its opportunistic equity and other funds. The investment professional will be involved in all aspects of the underwriting, diligence, and closing of new investments as well as business plan execution for the assets in Square Mile s existing portfolio of investments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and underwriting prospective investment opportunities for Square Mile s equity funds
  • Executing and closing transactions involving various property types
  • Generating financial analysis and investment committee memoranda detailing investment rationale, execution risks, and prospective returns
  • Performing acquisition due diligence, including completing market analysis and coordinating with third party service providers
  • Summarizing conclusions generated from financial analysis and due diligence, and making recommendations on a proactive basis
  • Assisting in the implementation of business plans, including leasing, financing, disposition, and ongoing portfolio surveillance


  • Bachelor s degree with 3-6 years of experience in real estate private equity or real estate finance
  • Professional level experience in real estate underwriting and financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated and strong work ethic with ability to problem solve and exercise independent judgment
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Team player who can work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Knowledge of Argus Enterprise is preferred but not required
