Job Summary:

Title: Director of Investor Relations
Location: Remote (US Based) 
Compensation: Salary with Commission

Viking Capital is a national multifamily investment firm with over a half billion dollar of assets under management with near term goal of $1 Billion AUM. Viking is focused on acquiring key assets across major metropolitan statistical areas (MSA’s) which demonstrate consistent rent growth, low vacancy. . Our value-add business plan repositions properties through operational efficiencies, moderate to extensive renovations and complete rebranding.

Who You Are:

You are someone who is goal-oriented and understands the finance world. You might have equity capital experience in real estate (preferred but not necessary), venture capital, personal financial planning, brokering, pharmaceutical sales, or maybe just looking to get off Wall Street. You are well educated, sophisticated, presentable, and polished. You speak well and your personality bodes well for networking opportunities and have had investor relations experience. Your innovative thinking allows you to identify new prospects and your competitive nature welcomes the challenge. You must believe in the “triple bottom line” People (charity and community), Planet (green initiatives) and Finally Profit (taking care of our investors and equity partners).

Your Work and How You’ll Make a Difference:

The Director of Investor Relations is key to growing our business, reaching more investors and driving business growth. The primary focus of this role is to build awareness of Viking in the community through various outreach and marketing strategies and present the business strategy to potential investors. The successful candidate will play a critical role, both in building relationships in the community, and also identifying new target audiences of accredited investors. This includes generating a list of key referral sources, partnering with these professionals and programs and attending networking events and conferences.  You will also support charitable organizations and attend philanthropic events on behalf of Viking Capital, essentially being the face of impact oriented organization.  

The Director of Investor Relations will work in a fast-paced and high growth environment, prioritize building and cultivating relationships to drive revenue growth, and focus on hitting sales goals to ensure firm profitability. This position will report directly to CEO and collaborate with an innovative marketing team, partnering closely with the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities Summary:

  • Identify potential investor audiences (our investor niche is physician investors)
  • Build awareness of the Firm through Investor conversations and meetings with high net worth individuals, investor groups, equity funds and family offices.
  • Create and support presentations for the executive team for internal and external high-level investor meetings
  • Draft high-level corporate communications for Viking Capital
  • Oversee development of corporate and select investor communications, including newsletters and investor updates
  • Cultivate relationships by following up with key referral sources
  • Assist in development of sales collateral and marketing material
  • Attend networking events and conferences
  • Host investor events and meetings
  • Speaking at live and online events and spearheading community support and charitable outreach efforts.
  • Position yourself as a passive real estate investing “expert” on online forums and social media groups
  • Stay organized with development of CRM
  • Weekly reporting of KPI metrics
  • Work with marketing team to generate, create and edit articles, blog posts, social media communication, videos and podcast appearances to further Viking Capital brand

What are we looking for:

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, finance or other related business field 

·       Moderate knowledge of the financial investment industry and/or real estate experience

      preferred

·       Minimum 3-5 years in business development, marketing, or equivalent area of expertise with

proven track record

  • Self starter who can excel without direct management

·       Experience with demonstrated success in prospecting and new market development activities 

·       Experience using any CRM (Active Campaign is preferrable)

·       Excellent project management skills (familiarity with Asana)

·       Ability to point to specific examples of having led transformational organization projects and

       new business development activities
