Description
Privately held, retail focused CRE company with expertise encompassing the various facets of real estate investments, entitlement, redevelopment, and asset management seeks qualified candidate with strong communication, customer relationship, and property operations / management skills to support a portfolio of single and multi-tenant retail assets in Miami Beach, Miami, and surrounding neighborhoods. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Ability to convey ideas and concepts both written and verbal;
- Maintain a regular property inspection schedule to ensure upkeep and vendor compliance
- Ability to read and understand basic legal documents, including leases, vendor agreements, insurance documents
- Ability to draft non-compliance correspondence as it relates to commercial property lease documents
- Tenant / vendor relations;
- Work order implementation and tracking inclusive of engineering / maintenance coordination;
- Maintaining HVAC and other equipment maintenance logs & tenant / vendor certificates of insurance and ensuring compliance w/ leases;
- Maintain tenant and property files;
- Maintain incident activity logs and creates incident reports as needed;
- Interact with the accounting group to ensure proper billing, payment coding, and assist as needed with tenant ledger reviews and annual reconciliations;
- Provide additional administrative support: special project assistances, purchase orders, invoice review and approval, vendor/construction contract preparation and utility log maintenance; insurance certificates; warranties
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assist construction group with facilitating various repair and renovation related tasks including budgeting, project management, quality control, and project close-out
- Assist in the weekly property reporting process;
- Assist in the budgeting preparation process;
Desired skills and experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in commercial property management, with specific experience in retail preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or greater, with comparable business management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong customer service and organizational skills;
- Must be detail-oriented and a motivated self-starter, with ability to multi-task;
- Effective team player who also possesses the ability to work independently;
- Computer proficiency in advance features of Yardi, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- The ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Ability to respond to emails and/or phone requests that may arrive during the day, during the evening, or over the weekend.
- Bi-lingual “English/Spanish”, is preferred
Compensation
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and capabilities. We offer a base salary plus bonus depending on the candidate, as well as a benefits package.
