Commercial Real Estate and Family Office Controller - DMP Properties- Newport Beach, CA
Are you a talented Commercial Real Estate Property Accountant looking to make a difference in a growing organization?

Do you have at least 10 years’ experience in commercial property accounting?

YOU WILL BE THE CONTROLLER FOR AN ESTABLISHED FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY WITH A PORTFOLIO OF 35 PROPERTIES AND 300 TENANTS. YOU WILL BE REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE COMPANY PRINCIPALS. YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO ADVANCE IN PAY AND RESPONSIBILITY AS YOU DEMONSTRATE YOUR ABILITY TO EXCEL AT THIS POSITION. YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Leading the finance, accounting and reporting activities for the Company
-The day to day management and operations of the accounting department for its commercial real estate portfolio, family office investments and principals’ financial matters
-Preparing financial reports and backup support for outside CPA, banks/lenders, and attorneys
-Assisting property management department with budgeting, forecasting and collections
-Instituting best practices throughout the accounting department
-Assisting company principals with financial matters pertaining to acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and outside investments
-Managing payroll and benefits and basic HR functions
-Assisting principals with cash management and investment management strategies
Family office experience, Yardi experience and CPA preferred.
Strong work ethic, excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, and proactive mindset required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
