About The Role
We are seeking to hire a senior construction professional to oversee construction of various projects for the firm's growing single family residential platform.
The successful candidate will be a driven and strategic professional with in-depth construction experience and, ideally, expertise in the single family residential space. Most importantly, s/he will be familiar and facile with all aspects of managing projects, from pre-construction, cost estimation, and procurement through project management and closeout. In collaboration with external construction teams and internal developers, this professional will be responsible for coordinating, managing and executing construction duties for all assigned projects, ensuring that product, timeline, and budget goals are met.
This candidate can be based in any U.S. city and will report directly to the Head of Global Development.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the completion of the design, construction, and development process for the single family properties nationally, increasing involvement as necessary to ensure success
• Generate and / or evaluate plan procedures, timelines, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for each phase of live projects
• Manage and nurture relationships with owner’s representatives across the platform
• Track relevant KPIs, including scheduling, direct costs, and budget maintenance to ensure that milestones are met
• Coordinate resources within the team and across function to establish an efficient workflow and redirect teams as needed
• Report on backlog status, including schedule, budgetary, and cost items
• Drive quality assurance, purchasing initiatives, and other imperatives to ensure best-in-class construction practices

Qualifications
• 15+ years of real estate experience, ideally in project management or construction management
• Depth of knowledge within the single family / homebuilding sector, ideally with a keen understanding of the design and construction processes specific to the space as well as the broader residential sector
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships and collaborate with construction personnel, owners, and operators
• Experience managing construction projects and teams at a national scale
• Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks and resources
• Keen attention to detail, especially while multitasking and executing a wide range of projects
• Excellent presentation skills, including strength in verbal and written communications
• Dynamic presence with high degree of self-motivation and entrepreneurialism
• Outstanding work ethic and organizational skills
• Confidence, maturity, and poise required to represent the firm
