Title:                                 Jr. Financial Analyst

Reports to:                      Senior Investment Associate – SFR Division

Primary Function:           Investments Support

Status:                              Full-time, Exempt

Location:                          San Francisco, CA

 

 

Summary 
Under the general supervision of the Investment Team, the Analyst will work alongside members of the SFR Division and actively participate in team meetings, facilitate the successful identification and underwriting of residential investment opportunities, and perform a range of administrative tasks related to the acquisition and stabilization of rental property.  

 

This position will be accountable for activities relating to the acquisition process, financial analysis, transaction management, and facilitating a successful handoff of assets to our property management team, accounting team, and third-party vendors. 

 

The Company is a vertically integrated owner-operator of multifamily assets in San Francisco and single-family rentals across the West Coast. The Company has several strategic partnerships in place with global institutional capital providers and has experienced strong growth in every real estate sector it has entered to date.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain market screening tools for an updated view on regions of investment opportunity
  • Underwrite new single-family rental opportunities and manage offer submittal process
  • Review due diligence reports updating original assumptions and fine-tune CAPEX burden
  • Assist transaction coordinator with successful funding and closing of transactions
  • Facilitate loan closings for the SFR division
  • Assist in preparing analyses on transactions or other ad hoc requests from investors, potential lenders, brokers, buyers, etc.
  • Review and analyze historical and projected operational data.
  • Coordinate with the acquisitions team on key dates (i.e., calendar invites for deposits, contingency removal, closing, etc.)
  • Provide accounting with accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and present updates and reports to Investments Team, as requested.
  • Transition new investments from Acquisitions to Property/Asset Management.
  • Lead special projects as assigned and complete high-quality deliverables.

 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of real estate private equity, real estate development, or investment banking.
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; working knowledge of Yardi is a plus.
