Position: Project Manager
Location: South Congress, Austin, TX
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee, manage, and progress construction projects from beginning to end
- Manage architects, design teams, and subcontractors
- Budget planning and cost estimating
- Manage project schedule to adhere to expected project timing
- Coordinate, attend and facilitate all project meetings and final inspections
- Review, monitor, and coordinate all approvals of shop drawings and submittals
- Monitor contract conformance in conjunction with the onsite Superintendent
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Monitor and guide compliance with building and safety regulations
- Manage and mitigate risks; ensure quality construction standards
- Maintain company reputation in market as a reputable and reliable developer
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Proven experience executing construction management, including multi-family, single-family, and townhomes
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in construction management, homebuilding, or general construction
- Excellent knowledge of construction management processes
- Experience with construction management software packages including Procore and other scheduling software
- Outstanding knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver with an ability to see the “big picture”
- Responsible team-player that executes independently, addressing problems, and eager for the next task after completing an assignment
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of work
- Independent judgment to manage, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload with an ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
Position Summary
The Project Manager will work alongside Timberline’s Director of Construction and Development Team on managing the construction management of key projects in the company’s real estate portfolio. As a member of the Timberline team, you will develop core skills across real estate asset types through hands-on project experience. Over time, you’ll have the capacity to expand into broader and higher-level company roles utilizing the strengths you apply and exhibit in your role as a Project Manager.
