Job Description Junior Loan Processor

Entry level loan processor needed for a busy mortgage brokerage company. Loan processor is responsible for managing the administration/processing of the loan from the initial applications for accuracy and review.

A loan processor should have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, be familiar with e-filing of files, be able to structure and submit loan packages to the banks and deal with clients and banks` conditions.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Ability to pre-underwrite a loan file (preparing rent rolls, income & expense statements) and analyze financial documentation provided;
  2. Review and prepare mortgage loan application documentation for submission to lenders, appropriately register loans and submit loans to variety of banks.  This includes underwriting setups, file creation, copying & scanning of all documents;
  3. Obtain and manage receipt of documents from borrower and guiding loans through the underwriting process;
  4. Scheduling of various third party site inspections (appraisals, environmental, engineering, bank inspections);
  5. Maintain effective lines of communication with loan officers and clients on the status of loans;
  6. Have excellent verbal/written communication skills and customer care;
  7. Ability to work in fast-paced, high volume environment;
  8. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel;
  9. Must be extremely organized, analytical, and detail-oriented;
  10. Ability to manage priorities and workflow for a pipeline of 45-100± deals at any given time;
  11. Must maintain the highest level of discretion and management of confidential and sensitive information;
  12. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions;
  13. Keep track of sensitive deadlines and other expiration dates;
  14. Request invoices for approaching loan closings;
  15. Ability to close files in proprietary loan program;
  16. Assist with deal flow, drafting memorandums and other bank correspondence.
