What you do:

·       Closely work with acquisitions and asset management teams, keep track of external valuations for direct equity investments 

·       Lead valuation process for new and existing investments for Americas region including selection and engagement of external valuers

·       Ensure compliance of regional valuation processes with regulatory and ARE / Allianz internal guidelines  

·       Perform independent (desktop) vetting of external appraisal, present and justify external valuation result to Senior Management of ARE Group

·       Liaison with global valuation team, especially on asset valuation result and vetting requirements for dedicated investor products requiring more frequent valuation 

·       Act as regional repository for reporting of asset values for all stakeholders (internal/external) and ensure appropriate data delivery of asset market value

·       Monitor key trends and valuation related market parameters for relevant sectors in US markets, ensure major asset driven changes are reflected in external valuation

·       Engage in cross-regional cooperation and support / lead projects and analysis as part of global valuation team

·       Support other risk & portfolio related tasks and initiatives as needed

 

What you bring:

·       Post graduate qualification in business, economics, finance, or real estate 

·       7 years of professional working experience 

·       Preference for 5 years of experience in real estate, ideally related to property valuation and complemented by certified valuation expertise

·       Familiarity with global valuation standards such as RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), IVS (International Valuation Standards) and sound knowledge of local regulatory requirements on real estate valuation 

·       Ability to perform property valuation independently

·       Skilled in financial modelling (e.g. ARGUS)

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills, advanced negotiation skills

·       Problem solving and analytical skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

·       Ability to make decisions and manage valuation issues, business-oriented and target-minded in close cooperation with global valuation team and local asset management team

·       Ability to interface effectively with leaders, peers, and employees of all levels

  • Team player with willingness to work within global matrix organization & proven network within real estate industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
