Description


Marino, a national, full-service communications firm is seeking a talented Senior Account Executive to join our award-winning Real Estate & Property Innovation team. Ideally, this particular candidate will have experience at an agency or  in-house working  in the real estate, PropTech and / or FinTech spaces.

 

Responsibilities

  • Account / Team Management
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of real estate and property innovation-focused accounts, including acting as a primary client contact and staying on track of client deliverables
    • On accounts that have junior team members, monitor their day-to-day activities, including monitoring media clipping, client reporting and the circulation of account updates.
    • Assist in the development, execution and presentation of client reports under the direction of account leads
  • Media Relations
    • Conceptualize and execute creative, ‘out of the box’ media pitches and tactics for clients
    • Maintain an extensive network of reporter contacts at media outlets within different sectors and at different tiers; cultivate these relationships through routine pitching, meetings and interaction
    • Share expertise and show interest around the news cycle and current events relevant to the real estate and property innovation industries, using this knowledge to identify opportunities to add our clients’ voices to these conversations.
    • As needed, drive media relations efforts surrounding client events, such as overseeing the building of media invite lists, advisory and release creation, media check ins on-site and client interview coordination
  • Writing
    • Develop strategic, well-crafted, and polished written content for clients with minimal direction; this content includes, but is not limited to, press releases, op-eds, talking points, social media content, etc.
    • Demonstrate ability to review and offer guidance to junior team members on written materials they have drafted or worked on
  • Strategy
    • Assist senior team members with the creation of client strategies, driving the initial creation and generation of campaign plans and PR programs – following the finalization of these plans, oversee the execution
    • With executive approval, offer proactive solutions and ideas around client crisis situations
  • Networking & Business Development
    • Identify, attend and encourage others to join in on networking events
    • As needed, participate in the research, writing, and presentation of new business proposals
  • Professional Development
    • Proactively set professional goals and identify areas for self-improvement – bringing these to management and assisting with the creation of a plan to track against goals and demonstrate growth
  • Team Marino
    • Offer overall support to team Marino, including maintaining  a respectful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude towards coworkers, clients, and outside colleagues
    • Foster/mentor junior staff members to continue to enhance the collegial atmosphere and team structure/culture at Marino

Requirements

  • 3-5 years comparable work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience crafting, pitching and placing press stories
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Creative thinking and analytical problem solving skills

 Bonus Requirements

  • Experience integrating public relations campaigns with social / digital media
  • Experience working with brands or clients in the PropTech / FinTech / ConTech
