Position Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting of a Real Estate focused business. The FP&A analyst will lead the real-time financial performance monitoring, track key performance indicators and objectives.


This position is a hybrid role based in Port Washington, NY. This is a full-time position and will report directly to the CFO.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting including tracking budget to actuals
  • Own the annual budgeting process and lead the process throughout the organization while monitoring and adjusting the budget throughout the year
  • Provide integral support on Company deliverables including annual and quarterly budgeting, annual operating and strategic planning, financial re-projections, and internal reporting
  • Support the FP&A and management teams with various ad hoc analysis
  • Oversee the Company’s treasury function, including tracking monthly, quarterly, and annual cash needs.
  • Manage the definition and tracking of key performance indicators
  • Maintain accurate data
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with leadership and Business to achieve results in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop pro-forma financial models with supporting business case
  • Partner with Finance and Business Leads to identify and report key performance indicators
  • Manage the analysis / documentation of ad hoc requests as required by the management team including the CFO, COO and CEO
  • Analyze and assess the financial statements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in Corporate FP&A
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and the interpretation of financial statements
  • Proficiency with computer platforms and applications, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with developing financial models
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Self-directed and highly motivated
  • Experience with MRI a plus
  • Must be willing to “roll up your sleeves” and assist the team as needed
  • Ability to work with management and other members of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills
