Hirschfeld Properties LLC, a national real estate investment firm, is seeking an Acquisitions Intern to support the New York City management team. The Acquisitions Intern will report to the Chief Investment Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to work with senior management to learn about and participate in sourcing, underwriting, and closing new real estate investments at an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, cutting-edge firm. and Senior Acquisitions Associate at our mid-town Manhattan office.


This is a part-time position based in our New York office with hybrid schedule possible.

POSITION SUMMARY

Intern is responsible for supporting the executive team in detailed financial analysis, underwriting, due diligence on potential investment opportunities, as well as conducting market research and analysis. Applicants should be professional, energetic, flexible and eager to learn.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop insightful market information and statistics via research and review of available materials including neighborhood and property research
  • Preparing memorandums for internal review
  • Preparing financial analyses
  • Tracking incoming opportunities and updating deal pipeline
  • Administrative duties, including routine office management responsibilities, and assisting with travel arrangements, logistics etc.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Experience, real estate experience preferred
  • An interest in real estate acquisitions / redevelopment
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel, proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Positive attitude
