Asset Management, Analyst

EQUITYMULTIPLE has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Asset Management Analyst. You will join a passionate and experienced asset management team whose goal is to make real estate investing more accessible, transparent, and secure. The Asset Management Analyst’s primary objective will be to support the team’s goals of monitoring and managing property performance as well as maximizing return on investment at the individual asset and portfolio level.  The Asset Management Analyst will perform a wide array of Asset Management duties including helping to gather investment data, managing data workflow and supporting senior team members.  The current investment portfolio, to which this candidate would be broadly exposed to, comprises a diversified pool of assets including multifamily, office, hotel, industrial, student housing, car wash, retail, self-storage, co-living, condo, etc. and is invested in all parts of the capital structure across the continental U.S. This position will also work opportunistically on cross-functional projects with other divisions on initiatives crucial to the success of the company.

 

This position is located in Manhattan, however, due to the impacts of COVID-19 EquityMultiple is currently operating remotely with a plan to return to the office by 4Q 2021. In the interim, there will be opportunities for in-person interactions and collaborations with colleagues via work summits and company culture events which you can attend wholly at your option. Before returning to the office full time, extensive use of the Google Workspace suite of collaboration and video conferencing tools are employed to maximize support and coordination within and amongst teams with regular All-Hands meetings.

You will have the opportunity to:

• • Create and maintain property-level financial models and prepare hold/finance/sell recommendations, valuations and return analysis
  • Monitor business plan performance with particular focus on budget and schedule performance and reacting to correct any variances
  • Research property markets across the U.S., including economic, demographic, competitive property sales and leasing data utilizing institutional-grade resources
  • Assist in the preparation of asset strategy/portfolio presentations, annual budgets, and cash flow projections for annual business plans
  • Review asset performance to ensure compliance with leases, contracts, loan documents, and partnership agreements
  • Prepare and review periodic asset updates
  • Interact with joint venture partners, attorneys and third-party service providers
  • Maintain and update Company investment track record materials, deal database, and manage deal data capture workflow
  • Work cross functionally with Real Estate, Marketing & Communications, Investor Relations, and Product teams

We are looking for someone with:

• • 1-3 years of real estate asset management experience and a passion for the commercial real estate
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with strong academic performance and achievement
  • Strong writing, quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills (proficient in financial modeling using Microsoft Office/Argus, pro forma creation, real estate valuation, sensitivity and income and expense analysis)
  • Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
  • A true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks who can thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Team player, humble attitude with a strong willingness/desire to learn
