Saxum Real Estate, one of the fastest growing real estate investment and development firms in the nation, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Acquisitions Analyst/Associate for its Summit, NJ office. Ideal for the professional with 2-4 years of experience in real estate, investment banking or finance seeking diverse skill development in a lean, entrepreneurial, fast-growing firm. The person who fills this important position will report to and work directly with Saxum’s senior management.

The candidate that fills this role will be primarily focused on Saxum’s cold storage platform. Saxum is widely considered the most active cold storage developer in the U.S with approximately 2.5 million square feet currently under construction and another 2 million square feet planned over the next two years. The cold storage platform is a national investment strategy, and the candidate would be expected to travel to target and diligence future prospective projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed financial modeling utilizing Excel and Argus including waterfall distribution modeling
• Conduct asset/market research including market demand drivers and sales/leasing competitive set
• Assist with new acquisition due diligence including compiling, reviewing and analyzing DD materials
• Spearhead the writing and creation of Financing and Investment Memoranda
• Assist in transaction execution and negotiation
• Prepare various situational financial analyses to drive investment decisions
• Opportunities to travel to targeted and existing projects across the nation to perform due diligence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science or Math: GPA 3.5+
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in real estate, investment banking or finance
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Argus (proficiency test will be part of selection process)
• Demonstrated financial modeling skills, with waterfall modeling preferred
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent quantitative, written and verbal communication skills with ability to think creatively
• Capable of handling multiple projects and analyzing high volume of deals quickly and accurately
