The associate will report to the Managing Director for asset and property management for a mid-rise and high-rise portfolio of residential communities. We are seeking someone who is interested in the multi family real estate industry and would like to grow into a new and more challenging position over time.
General Summary
Provide property management support for the regional director and asset managers. The position will handle a wide variety of situations involving the policies and procedures of the properties within the portfolio and requires approximately 60% travel. The associate will handle time sensitive and confidential material and needs to be able to exercise independent judgment in the interpretation and communication of operating policies. Following are the major areas of responsibility:
- Conduct annual and semi-annual district manager audits for all properties within the portfolio.
- Review various monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual property level reports for accuracy to be approved by the asset manager such as monthly leasing commissions, resident renewal spreadsheets and property fact sheets.
- Monitor property vendor and service contract files to ensure up-to-date status.
- Use various software applications such as spreadsheets and management database to locate and compile information and format reports, graphs, tables and other information.
- Compose reports and correspondence at the direction of the asset managers.
- Participate in the review and on-site due diligence for property acquisitions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual asset management plans.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Three years of related experience required.
