Description
Transformative Development Initiative: [TDI] Fellows Program 2018
Mass Development is accepting qualifications for its candidate pool for the next round of Transformative Development Initiative [TDI] Fellows. MassDevelopment’s Transformative Development Initiative [TDI] is a program for Massachusetts Gateway Cities designed to accelerate growth in focused districts. The program works with cross-sector partnerships to engage citizens in actionable planning, implement local economic development initiatives, and spur public and private investment. After a successful initial three-year program in 10 Gateway City districts, MassDevelopment is extending its commitment and expanding the program to four new districts in 2018. The Agency is looking for enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and accomplished mid-career professionals with diverse experiences to join its team. TDI Fellows are the lead community organizers for economic development in TDI Districts and work as full-time employees of MassDevelopment on behalf of local partnerships. Four TDI Fellows will serve in Fitchburg and Lawrence (3-year commitment), and Chelsea and Worcester (2-year commitment), and work to advance TDI redevelopment activities on the ground in these locations. The new cohort of Fellows will join colleagues already working on the ground in six other Gateway Cities throughout the Commonwealth. This next pool of TDI Fellows will start in summer 2018. Successful applicants will have at least 5-7 years of professional experience in planning, real estate, and economic development in the public and/or private sector, and have a passion for the redevelopment of small cities.
