Senior Manager, Real Estate & Facilities - Europe (Munich Germany)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate & Facility Manager to join our European team with responsibility for day-to-day as well as strategic operations of sites throughout Europe.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Responsible for management of a geographically distributed real estate and facilities team in Europe, encompassing 500K sq ft of leased space distributed in 40+ sites in 18 countries.  Developing and coaching of the facilities team, currently consisting of 9 team members, along with 24 contractors and vendors, to ensure delivery of quality services and facilities including: real estate site selection and lease negotiations, project management, day to day facility operations, and workplace strategy.  Overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, and implementing initiatives.  Familiarity with architectural and engineering plans, design criteria, and managing construction projects is key.    
 
Solves problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of various factors.  Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
 
Develops strong relationships with peers and business unit managers, defining needs and developing business solutions that support regional growth while aligning with business unit and corporate objectives. Demonstrates organized analysis of issues and provides recommendations. Creates real estate reports, encompassing current and future market trends and business conditions. Ongoing travel to regional sites estimate 25-50% travel.   
  
Requirements:
 

• BS with 10+ years of relevant experience, MBA preferred, preferably in a high-tech environment and with an international firm.
• Drive for results through proactive management and demonstrating agility in complex situations.
• Experienced in managing international assets and facilities operations as well as managing multi-cultural teams.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills in English and preferably one additional European language, excellent attention to detail, follow through, and organizational skills. 
• Influencing decisions on business solutions through interaction with all levels of management and peers, building effective networks and instilling trust.

• Ability to work independently developing and implementing initiatives, managing multiple assignments simultaneously within budget and timelines.
