Clemson University: College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities: City Planning and Real Estate Development
Program Director/Professor of MRED

Location: 1 North Main Street, Greenville, SC

The MRED Program is seeking candidates for a Program Director with the rank to be determined in either a tenured or non-tenured position. The position will begin in the 2019-2020 academic year.

In addition to assigned administrative responsibilities, the successful candidate is expected to annually teach two classes in her/his field, and assist in other class modules, experiential learning projects and recruitment. The MRED Program seeks individuals who are able to work with diverse students and colleagues and who can work in collaboration with disciplines from both within and outside of the program and department. The MRED program is based in the Department of City Planning and Real Estate Development (CPRED) within the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities (CAAH). The College prides itself as being part of a "fluid campus" that actively integrates multiple disciplines (Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Science, City Planning, Historic Preservation, and Urban Design) into student-led projects within South Carolina and abroad.


QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. is preferred, but individuals with exemplary professional experience and a professional master's degree in real estate, finance, land development or a related concentration will be equally considered. The successful candidate should ideally possess teaching experience and demonstrate the ability to work well with industry professionals.
