Consolidated Investment Group, a premier investment management company comprising of more than $1 billion in assets who has had an extraordinary record of success and a reputation for collaboration and partnership; a depth of knowledge and experience; and a history of finding opportunities is seeking a Construction Manager.

This position will provide management assistance and coordination leadership on a wide variety of development projects and cursory monitoring of partnership interests related to the construction oversight of vertical developments. 


Responsibilities

  • Perform key role in project planning, budgeting and execution of project
  • Manage the day-to-day operational details of the projects
  • Oversee project Design Architects and other Consultants through SD, DD, CD and CA.
  • Construction document management: submittals, transmittals, change orders, request for proposals, requests for information and close out documents
  • Manage General Contractor to maximize productivity and project goals
  • See project through from start to finish
  • Establish project hard construction cost budget, entitlement costs, and other design related soft costs for project proformas. 
  • Keep high quality for the project both by reviewing drawings and specifications and walking and reviewing means and methods of construction for the project
  • Oversee and anticipate the flow of construction to help ensure project stays on schedule
  • Oversee construction document management: submittals, transmittals, change orders, request for proposals, requests for information, punch list and close out documents
  • Purchase and Accurately track and account for owner supplied all material and equipment on site, as well as provide the related necessary reports on a timely basis
  • Negotiate general contractor contracts and change orders.
  • Bid, manage, and write contracts for architects, engineers, testing, and other design consultants
  • Provides problem-solving solutions using Building Codes and product information
  • Travel to projects out of state.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 7+ years of experience.  Multi Family preferred
  • Experience managing $20 Million plus in Multi Family (Garden and Podium) ground up project experience – Infinity, prescient and other modular construction method is a plus
  • Experience in managing Design Build projects
  • Experience is bidding, interviewing, and contracting with Architects, Engineers and other design and testing Consultants
  • Ability to Estimate projects in detail and conceptual
  • Understanding of building systems, design, construction and related management strategies 
  • Ability to review and identify a Project schedules before and during construction to identify problems or potential issues to complete on time
  • Capacity to lead, motivate and manage General Contractors and Project Consultants
