Sterlingtown Equities LLC is a full service real estate firm based in Brooklyn, New York with experience acquiring, developing, and rehabbing affordable and market-rate housing. Sterlingtown Equities LLC is seeking a full time Project Manager to manage existing projects in our pipeline, including a large scale condo projects in Brooklyn, NY.

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager for our Real Estate Development Company with experience as Senior Project Manager of a construction site, managing complex projects from pre-development through design, construction and CO. The Project Manager will work closely with the Owner, designers and construction team. A successful candidate is expected to concurrently and successfully manage multifaceted tasks for multiple projects with firm deadlines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and implementing all facets of the development process including planning, design, construction and marketing of the projects.
  • Negotiating business deals with consultants, vendors, contractors, neighboring property owners, and others.
  • Thoroughly reviewing construction and interior design plans to drive quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Preparing, maintaining and monitoring project budgets and preparing monthly project development reports.
  • Directing the internal project team and outside professionals in creating an effective strategy for the success of the projects and implementing that strategy.
  • Closely monitor the construction process and push projects to finish on time and within budget. Work with project team to resolve financial, design, scheduling and other issues that may arise.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and/or Real Estate/Civil Engineering/Building Sciences.
  • MBA or Master’s Degree with applicable concentrations is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of significant experience in Real Estate, with at least 5 years in Real Estate Development, land development and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and direct effective teams to manage major development projects.
  • A deep understanding of and experience with mixed use rehabilitation and construction for new development and retrofit of existing buildings. owner and investors.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of development and construction practices.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously through self-motivation, high energy, flexibility and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Oversight of budgets, invoice review and approvals
  • Oversight and coordination of permits and approvals as required for the project
  • Coordinating all pre-development work
