JOB DESCRIPTION

Prepare various Municipal and Zoning Reports complete with applicable code research


Characteristics of responsible projects:
Complexity: Medium Risk: Medium Purpose: debt, agency scope, low risk equity
Type of assets: Multi-family, office, retail, warehouses, industrial
Prepare Municipal Summary Reports (MISR)
Interview local government officials to obtain information concerning the subject property
Review surveys and interprets zoning codes to establish compliance
Address client questions and requests
Perform other research duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree, as plus if in Planning, architecture, engineering or related field
Experience in municipal planning & zoning office a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).
Excellent time management and organizational skills. The position requires simultaneously managing electronic deliverables for several ongoing assignments and ability to communicate the status of assignments to co-workers and supervisor.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

Willingness to work in a team environment, helping and shifting work load on an as needed basis due to influx of volume.
