Description


Goldman Sachs Realty Management Division is seeking to add an Associate to its portfolio management team in Dallas to support the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Real Estate team.

The Associate would be responsible for the portfolio management of a variety of products, including a rapidly growing ODCE fund as well as new products, including value-add funds. The portfolio management team is responsible for developing critical portfolio analytics that help guide strategic decision making and investor interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and analyze performance and risk metrics on a quarterly basis and develop reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including index reporting
  • Work with platform management and accounting teams to forecast returns for each vehicle
  • Provide relevant and timely data analytics to stakeholders that influence macro strategic and risk decisions. Develop portfolio sensitivities to stress impact of variables such as interest rates, leverage, diversification and tenant exposures on the performance of the funds
  • Manage asset and fund level debt positions, coordinate with lenders for reporting, covenant calculations, draw requests and hedging activities
  • Coordinate with investment and fund accounting groups to manage the cash positions of the funds, property capital requirements and financial reporting
  • Interact and collaborate with internal teams across the firm to ensure quality of data and strength of processes and controls

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in finance, statistics, mathematics or a similar field. Master’s degree, CFA or CPA a plus
  • 3+ minimum years of experience in real estate fund management, with preference for previous experience in institutional fund environment, Core Fund, REIT, or Big 4
  • Experience working with large sets of data and developing institutional-level reporting; ODCE index reporting a plus
  • Strong project planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Solid analytical / critical thinking mindset and attention to details
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and all Word products
  • Technical Skills including SQL, VBA, Tableau a plus
