Senior – Level Financial Analyst

 

At Aimco, our mission is to consistently provide quality apartment homes in a respectful environment, delivered by a team of people who care.  We are seeking a senior – level Financial Analyst who will be responsible for providing support, analysis, and reporting of financial information relating to our capital spending and real estate development projects, including redevelopment projects, capital improvements and building or site repairs at the properties.  As part of this role, you will ensure the integrity of the data, resolve data and process problems, and provide specialized and ad-hoc reporting.  You will also serve as a point of contact within the corporate office to our team members around the country.

 

Among other duties you would:

    • Be responsible for ensuring thorough and timely project updates are made in the construction management system
    • Compute asset values and impacts of projects on total values
    • Manage commitments for capital projects and quarterly reporting for financial statement footnotes
    • Possess budgeting responsibilities including compilations of total capital spending
    • Create and execute financial models for capital improvement projects
    • Detail spend analysis and reporting for historical tax credits
    • Be the power user for our capital project management software and train new hires
    • Assist management in identifying opportunities to streamline and improve processes

    • Have:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly-related experience   
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel experience
  • Knowledge of multi-dimensional databases, Essbase preferred
  • General Microsoft Word experience
  • General PowerPoint experience
  • Knowledge of eBuilder or comparable construction software a plus
