Arch Companies is a New York City based real estate investment, development, construction and asset management firm active across the United States with a concentration on primary and secondary markets. Arch Companies seeks candidates who can work in a collaborative environment and possess drive, integrity, creativity and a strong work ethic.

 

We are seeking an Analyst / Associate for Arch Companies to assist in evaluating new acquisitions and managing a portfolio of residential and commercial real estate assets in various stages of development and operations. The position will be based in our New York City offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create financial models using Excel to project cash flows, investment returns, generate asset valuations, analyze risk and evaluate various financial structures to analyze new acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations
  • Underwrite new investments, including conducting market research, generating comps analysis and tracking due diligence for new acquisitions
  • Support ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of individual investments, as well as the aggregate portfolio
  • Contribute to presentations and reports for internal committees
  • Support the creation of offering memorandums to source capital for new and existing investments
  • Gather, support and maintain market research to help facilitate quarterly investment updates

 

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years prior real estate underwriting and transaction experience
  • Strong interest in real estate development
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, real estate or other similar fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong organizational and deadline management skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to comfortably multi-task
  • Self-starter, dedicated and professional demeanor capable of thriving in an intense, high-energy, transaction-driven environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
