JOB SUMMARY
: Junior-Level Interior Designer This position will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of workplace design. CBRE is growing our design capabilities to support new workplace concepts for both our corporate clients and investors. The activities include but are not limited to:
Practice evidence based design to create thoughtful and compelling places to work
Develop inspiring design concepts and functional space plans
Perform interior design assignments that include programming, test fits, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
Participate in the selection and research of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
Assist in generating finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
Provide support to standards documentation and construction documentation
Who You Are:
Ideally you are both a designer and strategist thinker. You are a natural problem solver and use data and research to inform your design decisions.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
2+ years of interior design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, and other modeling software programs
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Contributing to recommendations and client deliverables
Traveling to client sites across the U.S. (up to 50% at peak periods)
