Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage all day to day accounting activities using Yardi accounting system (Invoice input, Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc..)
- Manage office payroll with outside payroll company
- Bank reconciliations, preparation of profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements
- Monitor and develop monthly/quarterly reports of revenues and expenditures, budget to actual comparisons for projects under management
- Assist CPA’s in the preparation of federal, state and local reports and tax returns
- Generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. Interpret reports and records for managers/partners
- Coordinate K-1 delivery/interaction with partners
- Provide weekly updates on rent status
- Prepare and interpret financial and budgetary reports
- Interact with banks regarding loan compliance and construction loan draws
- Direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts
- Direct all aspects of insurance for both Company and projects (i.e. tenant and vendor insurance) under management
- Assist property management team in formulating budgets, implementation of budgets, and annual budget reconciliations
- Assist with principals’ personal accounting as needed
