We’re currently looking for an IT Systems Administrator with 3-4 years of experience to join our Home Office team in Philadelphia, PA. This person works directly with the Director of IT to manage, administer and create IT systems.  This role is responsible for maintaining the daily level-2 help desk support needs of our field users nationwide as well as continually making improvements to IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Manages ticketing system and provides daily hardware (PCs, check scanners, printers, office phones, etc.), software, network, and desktop support remotely, in-person, or over the phone
  • Administers Company property management software Yardi Voyager, Yardi CRM, and Rent Cafe Site Manager
  • Manages new and existing user account/security permissions in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Creates and maintains sites in Office 365 SharePoint Online
  • Configures, upgrades, and maintains all Company server, network, Vonage VoIP and backup infrastructure
  • Installs, configures, upgrades, troubleshoots, and repairs PCs, components, software, and devices
  •  Maintains IT hardware inventory
  • Identifies and improves inefficiencies within IT, providing appropriate recommendations and action plans
  • Actively assists in training field users by providing documentation, job aides, and friendly one on one support
  • Maintains current knowledge of IT trends and innovations, expands in areas as needed, and adapts to changing technologies
  • Travels to properties to setup PCs, networks (routers/access points), and other IT related hardware as needed
  • Performs additional assignments as directed by the Director of IT
  • Conducts all business in accordance with company policies/procedures, Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to housing
 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the IT field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with phone support and demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to identify/implement process improvements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with individuals at all levels of responsibility 
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues with customers over the phone in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Ability to explain highly technical information in simple terms to help resolve issues
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, ADFS, DFS, Group Policy, Corporate Domains
  • Familiarity with networking principles; specifically, subnetting and VPNs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Failover Cluster Manager, Hyper-V Manager, Azure, Azure AD Sync preferred
  • Knowledge of Cisco Meraki 
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or MIS or equivalent experience preferred; Relevant information technology certifications preferred
