BioMed Realty
is looking for an experienced Community Manager to join our Cambridge team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of corporate events including managing all events at the Kendall Square Corporation, an award winning, 10 acre site that engages a mixed-use experience of commercial, residential, retail, performing arts and outdoor activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and execute corporate events from concept to completion.
- Work closely with the BioMed Realty project team to produce key signature events at our Kendall Square facility
- Perform advanced planning of events, administer contract and space license agreements and coordinate with current BioMed Realty operations team
- Manage, coordinate, and communicate with all vendors, suppliers and stakeholders
- Support the BioMed Realty project team in advanced scheduling, budgeting, and periodic presentations of site events and activities
- Be the voice of the Kendall Square Corporation through social media channels (Website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), creating a pipeline of stories that highlight the events and people using the site.
- Curate content for monthly mailings, electronic activities screen in parking garage lobby, and posters and banners throughout the site.
- Assist property management and development teams with new ideas and activities
- Assist with the Kendall Square Corporation Ambassador program
Skills/Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in operations, program management, digital marketing, and event planning
- Experience working in a demanding, fast paced, and innovative environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Expertise with MailChimp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google Analytics
- Graphic design, and photography skills are a plus
- Creative and strategic thinking
- Strong project management skills
- Attention to detail
- Accountable to expectations and deadlines
- Organized, self-motivated and able to multitask
- Professional demeanor with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders (internal departments, tenants, community residents, non-profit organizations, etc.)
