CBRE DIVERSITY SCHOLARS MBA INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
 
As part of our commitment to furthering diversity and inclusion in our company and industry, we are pleased to offer the CBRE Diversity Scholars Program. The program was developed to support diversity in honor of former CBRE board of directors' members who are alumni. The initiative provides a 10-week paid summer internship to ethnically diverse graduate business students at targeted universities.
 
The program's intent is to advance students' readiness for potential careers in commercial real estate by:
  • Empowering learning through meaningful work experiences
  • Enhancing professional presence through exposure to senior executives and other leaders
  • Creating connections and accelerating industry knowledge through collaboration with CBRE colleagues
 
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST:
  • Be a business graduate student at a targeted university
  • Have an expressed interest in a career in the commercial real estate industry or in a field directly relevant to the industry(ex. finance, global investors, capital markets, etc.)
  • Be of excellent academic standing (GPA-3.0)
  • Have at least one year, but no more than two years, remaining to finish degree requirements
  • Access, complete and submit an application via the targeted school's portal.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. At this time, CBRE will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

INTERNSHIP INCLUDES:

Participation in relevant, developmental work assignments and a targeted internship project, meetings with executive leaders including the company CEO, participation in an onsite orientation with other interns from across the country,learning & development webinars, as well participation in community outreach activities.
 
Candidates selected for interview can be considered for the following opportunity:
 
DEVELOPMENT INTERN
Specific projects to be determined by respective hiring office - examples of tasks include financial modeling/underwriting of prospective investments and developments, coordination of due diligence, lease analysis, dispositions and fund contributions, responding to Request for Proposals, inputting and updating project information in the ELITE system,presenting/preparing financials and approval packages to the Investment Committee, and direct research projects.  Position reports to Vice President, Principal, or Managing Director.
 

  • Master's degree in business, finance, real estate or equivalent
  • Excellent proficiency with Excel, Argus and other appropriate analytical and marketing software
  • Ability to define problems, work with mathematical concepts/data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
