What it's about

In this position you will be part of a dynamic global real estate asset management team within a large, established investment platform.  Your tasks will include working closely with team members and local operating partners in order to drive real estate investment performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive investment performance from deal execution through disposition for assets with complex investment strategies including developments and repositionings, in conjunction with local operating partners, leasing/sales agents, and technical consultants
  • Assess investment performance in relation to business plan targets by analyzing financial reporting, performing regular sites visits, and serving as an expert on local leasing and capital market conditions
  • Source new investment opportunities
  • Identify, recommend and execute asset management initiatives to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks during the hold period
  • Analyze capital expenditures, leases, refinancings, and other major decisions and prepare recommendations to the investment committee accordingly
  • Draft annual business plans, including operating budgets, and exit strategy
  • Prepare internal quarterly valuation reports, and develop and maintain financial projection models in Excel
  • Assist acquisitions team with underwriting and due diligence
  • Support fundraising efforts by presenting to prospective clients and participating in due diligence sessions
  • Special projects as required
What we expect

For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, engineering, architecture, business, economics, finance or similar subject required; master's degree preferred
  • 6-10 years of relevant industry experience preferably at a private equity firm or real estate operator
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills including expertise in using Excel to build cash flow pro forma models and distribution waterfalls
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a team-oriented environment
