The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

Age Discrimination

Many of our employers recruit from universities on our Real Estate School List because they all offer a degree in real estate, either graduate or undergraduate. Even more employers post internship jobs for FREE on our Job Network, creating a pipeline into successful careers in real estate. So, I was taken back to read in the WSJ, two applicants are suing PricewaterhouseCoopers for recruiting on college campuses arguing it hurts the chances of men and women over 40 to land those same jobs. The judge is determining if he will add to this case the 14,000 other older workers who didn’t get job offers from PwC. PwC hired 18% of the applicants who were under 40, and about 3% of candidates over that age. The war for talent apparently has not reached applicants over 40. Millennials, born 1981-97, recently overwhelmed the number of 35- to 50-year-olds in the U.S. workforce. Remember starting out when you would do anything anyone asked for hardly any money. The Millennials are not like that.
