The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

Retail Therapy

The new advocates of public drinking on city streets are not the Spring Break crowd, but our industry’s own Property Developers. The party has spilled over to City Center’s from Duluth, GA and Alabama to Iowa City, Iowa and Texas as downtowns throughout the nation are giving new meaning to a shopping spree. Open-air shopping districts rather than traditional shopping malls have prompted the push to allow public drinking on live music filled downtown streets. Socially conscious Uber pick-up and free overnight parking complete these center’s offerings. Developers like Vantage Realty in Atlanta told the WSJ they do not have to sell the concept when people experience how robust developments like Avalon have become. And remember when shopping trips were a family experience.
