Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the VP Loan Servicing with project specific accounting activities, while providing support and mentoring to the loan servicing team to ensure that proper accounting and recording of loan draw transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and process monthly draw requests. Ensure all supporting documentation attachments are included and accurate. Maintain accurate and organized electronic records of all draw transactions. Track vendor lien releases and issuance of joint checks, if applicable. Obtain approvals and input budget items for draw requests into the loan servicing system.
  • Prepare project-based financials, budgets, cash flow, analytical, and other special reports on a scheduled or unprompted basis.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, banking institutions, CPAs, and other affiliates as required.
  • Assist the loan servicing team, as needed, providing support with the following
    • Preparation and distribution of monthly borrower interest statements
    • Maintain and track borrower certificates of insurance. Assist with annual insurance renewals and OCIP/Wrap policies ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Maintain and track property taxes for collateral associated with loans.
  • Other duties, as may be assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience of full charge, job cost accounting experience, including budgets, cash flow, and analytical reporting, preferably within the construction, development, or architectural and engineering industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing statistical analysis to analyze and interpret data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. This position requires the creation and updating of advanced formulas, tables, conditional formatting, charting, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Preliminary Lien Law.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • A team player with the capacity to foster and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
